I was born and raised in New Jersey a few miles from New York City where I once drove a taxi. A US Navy veteran, I have traveled over 20 countries and 40 states. I raised 5 children and worked more jobs than I can remember, most having to do with buildings. I built them, fixed them, cleaned them and tore them down. If that’s not full circle, I don’t know what is. I managed a Law Office and an Internet company. I was the editor of a poetry magazine and published two books of my own poetry.
The best part of my life is sharing it with my wife Dabney Rose and together finding our connection with Divinity. I find working at First Lutheran and interacting with the pastors, staff and congregation goes a long way toward fulfilling this passion. Being referred to as First Lutheran‘s Poet Laureate and having the opportunity to share my poetry with the congregation is among the highest, yet most humbling, honors I have ever experienced.
