Some Ways We Transform Lives:
Our major mission emphases include fighting hunger and providing housing. As part of those goals and to help in other ways, some ministries which we participate in are:
- Greensboro Urban Ministry (churches fighting poverty);
- Mobile Meals (provides meals to homebound persons)
- Souper Bowl (Collect food for Greensboro Urban Ministry, donations for ELCA World Hunger Appeal)
- Habitat for Humanity (affordable housing for families)
- Grocery store food drives twice annually
- God’s Global Barnyard/Chicks for Change during Lent
- Collection of supplies for local schools
- CROP Walk in October
- Operation Christmas Child in November
- Christmas Store with churches in the community
- Mission Trips includes partnership with Lutheran Church of Costa Rica (ILCO)
