The Green Team coordinates and suggests multiple strategies for First Lutheran to care for creation, one of eight major goals here. First Lutheran was among the first group of churches named as a "Green Congregation" by Environmental Stewardship Greensboro. www.greenschemesnc.com/esg

The team is involved in many recycling projects including styrofoam, batteries, cell phones, hearing aids, eye glasses, greeting cards, yogurt cups and margarine containers.
